Here Lucien has grabbed the bottle and the glass and looks to Jeff, who says 'Stop, Lucien'. But Lucien keeps going: 'You said it would be easier if they died like that rather than the alternative.', and Jeff says 'I know what I said!'. Lucien looks at the bottle, and Jeff finally stops pointing the gun at him. 'Then why didn't you bring your daughter to the lake?'. Jeff says 'This is wrong. I can't do this. Not like this.'. Lucien drinks directly from the bottle: 'That's real rich Jeff. You didn't show this remorse when my wife was chosen in the lottery.'
